Drone student Tom Godbee was selected for the Student Spotlight for the first semester. He is a senior at Vidalia High School. Tom was nominated by his instructor, Amy Gillies. According to Mrs. Gillies, “After conducting a web search of the most important qualities a drone pilot should possess, it was difficult for me to decide which attributes were Tom’s strongest. Tom is detail-oriented, socially confident, inquisitive, calm, self-aware, and decisive. Tom’s drive, self-discipline, and motivation are evident to me each day by his participation in the academic realm of flight and labs. Perhaps the most notable aspect of his personality has nothing to do with education at all. Tom’s considerate and respectful daily interactions with adults and his fellow classmates allow his natural leadership to shine.” Congratulations, Tom!
Jamya Kelly has been selected as the Healthcare Student Spotlight for the semester. She is in the 9th grade at Montgomery County High School. According to her instructor Mrs. Lash Clemens, “Jamya always has a positive attitude. She has excellent grades and attendance. She is willing to help other students. Jamya, who is always smiling, loves to make others laugh. She is a pleasure to teach because she always participates in all discussions and activities.” Jamya plans to work in the healthcare field after graduating from high school. Congratulations, Jamya!
