Carolanne Horne is finding her niche in the cosmetology industry. During her high school years at Toombs County High School, Carolanne enrolled in the cosmetology program at SECCA. After graduating from Toombs County High School in 2013, Carolanne continued her education at Ogeechee Technical College where she obtained a Cosmetology diploma. With certificate in hand, she went straight into the cosmetology industry and specialized in technique colors and haircuts. She is trained in multiple types of extensions as well as holistic hair color and products. She is now working to become an educator with Simply Organic Beauty. According to Carolanne, “SECCA confirmed that Cosmetology was the career choice for me and prepared me for my time at Ogeechee Tech. My love for the beauty industry began early on in my life. Being able to start my journey to becoming a Master Cosmetologist through SECCA gave me a chance to gain knowledge and confidence in myself and excel in my career.” Carolanne is presently employed with Compliments Salon in Jacksonville, Florida.
Tristen Little is a pathway completer of SECCA’s JROTC Program. He is a 2017 graduate of Toombs County High School. According to Tristen, “ JROTC changed my life. It taught me discipline, respect, and professionalism. It also gave me a reason to go to school every day. I’ve been on every team imaginable, but none were like JROTC. I made lifelong friends. JROTC at SECCA was the best part of my high school life.” Tristen is now enlisted in the Army as a Private 2nd class. Stationed in Hawaii, Tristen is the son of Lane Avery.
